The Cleaning Edit · Guide
Choose posts that fit your cleaning services
Shared content is a starting point. Before you post, choose only the captions and graphics that accurately describe your own business.
Three decisions for every post
Use
Every service, image and statement already matches what you offer.
Edit
Remove or replace details so that both the caption and the graphic are true for your business.

The topic is a service you do not offer, or a promise you cannot support.
Practical checklist
- The service is one you actually offer.
- It is clear what is included and what is optional.
- The area mentioned is an area you serve.
- Any availability mentioned is your actual availability.
- The booking contact is yours and is correct.
- The image matches the service.
- Every placeholder has been removed.
- The caption and graphic have been checked together.
Keep the scope accurate
Never imply oven cleaning, carpet cleaning, exterior windows or end-of-tenancy cleaning unless you offer them. If what you do varies from job to job, avoid universal wording such as “every clean includes”.
Avoid claims you cannot support
- Guarantees you do not offer
- Promises to remove stains
- Disinfection claims
- Environmental claims
- Invented discounts, testimonials or results
Illustrative editing examples
These are made-up drafts to show the editing process. They are not claims about The Cleaning Edit or about any customer’s business.
Illustrative example 1
Draft: “Every clean includes the oven.”
- If the oven is not included, remove the oven wording from both the caption and the graphic.
- If you offer oven cleaning separately, mention it only if that is genuinely true.
- Otherwise, skip the oven-focused post.
Illustrative example 2
Draft: “Book this week for a guaranteed spotless home.”
- Remove the availability and the guaranteed result.
- Neutral alternative: “What would you like help with around the home?”
